I joined Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury with my writing partner Liz Whiston in 1988. During our eight years there we worked on the launch of First Direct, re-framed the AA as The Fourth Emergency Service and created the “does exactly what it says on the tin” campaign for Ronseal.

In 1995 we founded the HHCL Brasserie, an innovative concept being both agency and production company. There I directed over 150 commercials, including work for Cadbury’s Mini Rolls, McCain Pizzas, Martini Metz and Paxo.

At Euro’s we created the “artery clogging” anti-smoking campaign for the British Heart Foundation, which won more awards in 2004 than any other UK campaign.

I joined JWT as a board Creative Director working on Kit Kat, Calpol, Kellogg’s, Shell Global, the pitch for HSBC and the launch of HSBC Premier.

After a short stint as Creative Partner at Krow where we won the Pets at Home and Focus DIY accounts and awards for our work for the National History Museum, I have mainly worked direct to client (currently launching a new clothes label) or freelance for agencies like Mother, Anomaly and Saatchi & Saatchi.

I like coming up with big marketing and communications ideas which can be executed across any and all media, new or old.

I have won awards at all the major festivals, including two Golds, two Silvers and a Bronze Lion at Cannes; two Golds and three Silvers at BTA; and 2 IPA Effectiveness Awards - the Grand Prix and a Gold.
